Taftisis Program

The Greek word “Taftisi” originates from the verb “taftizo,” which is derived from “taftos,” meaning “same” or “identical.” Mathematically, it is expressed using the well-known three equal and parallel lines. It signifies the action or state of equating two or more things or ideas that share common elements, have the same characteristics, or are entirely equivalent.

The role of higher education institutions is multifaceted, but one of the most significant aspects is serving the socio-economic needs of both their immediate community and society at large. This connection is crucial because universities can substantially contribute to economic development, innovation, job creation, and the transformation of society through research, education, and outreach efforts that align with their strategic orientation.

The “Taftisis” program strategically designed by AUEB aims to build trust-based relationships among all groups participating in the economic ecosystem, understand their needs, and develop actions implemented with transparency and integrity to achieve shared goals and make a positive impact on society.

These actions may include two or more of the following ten collaboration pillars:

  1. Student Engagement
  2. Business Connection
  3. Education & Training
  4. Digital Transformation & Skills Enhancement
  5. Research Collaboration
  6. Innovation Linkage
  7. Applied Doctoral Research
  8. Alumni Connection
  9. Social Responsibility & Contribution Initiatives
  10. Modern & Multichannel Communication Efforts
